The Parent Feed was created as a way to quickly and regularly arm parents with the news, trends and advice they need to know about the apps, platforms and technologies that impact their children’s lives. After spending his career helping organizations understand the impact of social media, apps and other new technologies, founder and father of 3 young boys, Matt Batt, decided it was time to start educating parents on the latest apps, trends and platforms that our children are using daily on their mobile devices.
If your child has their own iPad, iPod or other handheld device, now is the time to get educated…so you can make a positive impact on your children’s activity and usage.

About Our Founder
Matt Batt is the Principal and Founder of Pipeline, a communications consulting firm helping businesses and organizations understand how to effectively leverage new communications tools like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many others. Matt has worked in communications for more than 17 years with both agency and corporate experience. Advising and representing some of the largest brands including KOHLER, redbox, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Miller Heiman, Batt has become a thought leader in helping businesses understand how to leverage these new and traditional communications into business results. In 2010, Batt became an adjunct professor at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and is teaching at the Illinois Small Business Development Center.
Over the past several years Batt has spoken with thousands of business professionals and leaders about topics including The Art of Empowering Your Tribes and The Shift: Customer Engagement in The Age of “Me Media” at more than 30 regional and national conferences or organizations including Crain’s Chicago Business, Kellogg School of Management, National Association of Realtors, Association Forum and the Community Associations Institute. In addition, as a founding board member for Girls on the Run of Northwest Illinois, Batt has also been an advocate for doing everything we can as parents to eliminate bullying, something these new tools have amplified over recent years.
Matt is also an active parent of 3 young boys. Like most parents, he is concerned about the increasing number of social media platforms, apps, games and other ways his kids are communicating with friends…and perhaps strangers. Fortunately due to his professional background, Matt has his finger on the pulse of what’s new in social media and communications.
